A restaurant menu
Keep the menu as a PDF and fix a price by retyping it in peadf. Put a QR Cake code with your logo on each table. When the menu changes, swap the PDF and the code on the table stays the same.

Scripted Tools is an independent software studio. We build and run QR Cake, peadf and InviteJam: three web apps for jobs that don’t end when you hit print. QR codes you can redirect after printing, PDF links you can update without re-sharing, and invitations that collect the replies for you.
QR Cake makes QR codes you can point somewhere new after they’re printed. Every code saved to your account is dynamic, so a menu, a flyer or a box of packaging never has to be reprinted because a link changed.
A code can open a website, a PDF, a video, an image gallery, a contact card or a list of links. Add your logo, choose colours and a frame, and download PNG or SVG files ready for print. Scan analytics and custom domains come with the Pro and Business plans.
peadf edits the text that’s already in a PDF. Click a line and retype it, and the original font, size and colour stay as they were. It also fills in forms, redacts, signs and reads scanned pages. The editing happens on your own device, so nothing is uploaded unless you ask for a share link.
When you do share, peadf hosts the file on one tidy link with a matching QR code. Replace the PDF later and the link and code keep working, and you can see how many people have opened it.
InviteJam sends invitations by link and keeps every reply in one guest list. Pick one of more than 300 designs, many of them drawn by hand, or upload one you made in Canva or anywhere else, then write your details on the card.
Guests open an envelope addressed to them and reply in the browser, with no app and no account. Ask what you need to know, such as meal choices, dietary needs, plus-ones or song requests, and the answers line up beside each name. Save-the-dates and thank-you cards come in matching designs.
The three apps are independent, but they cover neighbouring jobs. Here’s how they fit together on a few real projects.
Keep the menu as a PDF and fix a price by retyping it in peadf. Put a QR Cake code with your logo on each table. When the menu changes, swap the PDF and the code on the table stays the same.
Send save-the-dates and wedding invitations with InviteJam and collect meal choices with the RSVP. On the day, a wedding QR code on the place cards can open the order of service as a PDF link.
Print a QR code on the packaging that opens the product manual hosted on peadf. Update the manual and the printed code still lands on the latest version.
Scripted Tools designs, builds and runs its own software. Each product does one job, works in a web browser and has a free plan, so you can try it properly before paying for anything.
