What peadf does

Edits the text that’s already there

Many online PDF editors put a new text box over the old words. peadf changes the existing text instead: click a line and retype it, and the embedded font, size and colour are kept while the paragraph re-wraps around your change. Find and replace works across every page, so you can edit a PDF without losing its formatting or fix a typo in a PDF in seconds.

Forms, signatures and real redaction

Type into real form fields, tick boxes and choose from dropdowns, then flatten the form or keep it editable. Draw, type or upload a signature, or send a PDF to someone else to sign in their browser. When you redact a PDF, the content under the box is destroyed rather than hidden, so it can’t be copied back out.

Scans, pages and file size

peadf can read the text on a scan so you can edit a scanned PDF, and it does the recognition on your device. It also merges, splits, rotates, crops and reorders pages, adds page numbers or a watermark, compresses large files, and adds or removes a password.

Share a PDF as a link and QR code

Can I edit the existing text in a PDF?

Yes. Click a line and retype it. peadf keeps the original embedded font, size and colour, and the paragraph re-wraps as you type.

Are my files uploaded when I edit?

No. Editing, form filling, redaction and OCR all run in your browser. A file only leaves your device if you choose to share it as a link.

Can I update a shared PDF without changing the link?
